PANCHO LOPEZ (Mexico)

He studied Communication Sciences at the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences at UNAM. For 11 years he headed the Department of Performance and Contemporary Art Museum University of Poplar. Coordinator of the International Meeting and EJECT Performagia, vi-deoperformance Festival of Mexico City. Since 2000 facilitates performance workshops in spaces such as the University Museum of Poplar, the Carrillo Gil Art Museum and the Museum of Mexico City and in some states of Mexico (San Luis Potosi, Campeche, Tlaxcala , Puebla, etc..). He has participated in exhibitions and festivals of performance in Colombia, Chile, Canada, Uruguay, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, China, Spain, Portugal, Cuba and the United States. Has been a fellow of the Ministry of Culture of the Federal District Government (Arts everywhere) and FONCA (Fomento Cultural Projects and Joint Ventures). Was for 5 years the Chronicle columnist today (Culture section). Currently hosts the Internet radio PerfoRadio, broadcast on Wednesday www.ucradio.net

Estudió Ciencias de la Comunicación en la Facultad de Ciencias Políticas y Sociales de la UNAM. Por 11 años fue jefe del Departamento de Performance y Arte Actual del Museo Universitario del Chopo. Coordinador del Encuentro Internacional de Performagia y de EJECT, festival de vi- deoperformance de la Ciudad de México. Desde el año 2000 imparte su taller de performance en espacios como el Museo Universitario del Chopo, el Museo de Arte Carrillo Gil y el Museo de la Ciudad de México, así como en algunos estados de la República Mexicana (San Luis Potosí, Campeche, Tlaxcala, Puebla, etc.). Ha participado en muestras y festivales de performance en Colombia, Chile, Canadá, Uruguay, Venezuela, República Dominicana, China, España, Portugal, Cuba y Estados Unidos. Ha sido becario de la Secretaría de Cultura del Gobierno del Distrito Federal (Artes por todas partes) y del FONCA (Fomento a Proyectos y Coinversiones Culturales). Fue por 5 años columnista del diario la Crónica de hoy (sección Cultura). Actualmente conduce el programa de radio por Internet perfoRadio, transmitido los miércoles por www.ucradio.net
